The picture you show already has a Helicoil(TM) installed to deal with stripped threads. I would personally do what was already suggested - tighten it only very carefully (maybe used a new washer each time), and keep a watch on the oil level and any dripping. If the hairline crack is supposed to be way down at the photo bottom, I'd clean better w brake cleaner and make sure it's a crack and not the casting defect already mentioned.
Hope all you have is a casting cosmetic issue.
