We had two 9-5 Aero Wagons['03,'04]. One ended up with Koni Sports and the other with Koni FSD. With 17" high performance tires on each vehicle, the Sports were way too uncomfortable on real roads. The FSD shocks were great, could drive 900 miles in a day and not be worn down by the ride. But the FSD shocks were shot after 30-35K, a very steep life cycle price in the end.
We use performance tires for braking and accident avoidance. Stopping distances are dictated by the tires, not the brakes. We both attending Saab performance driving school.
Still sitting on the fence with replacing the FSD shocks, as the DIY work seems daunting at 67yo.
