Check it out, there's a flat edge on the motor shaft and a flat edge on the new arm they need to be in alignment before the to with hook together. Using a blend door motor or arm from the driver side for the passenger side will have the flat edge on the motor to lever arm 180 degrees off and they will not hook together. Look closely at the motor operation and where full close or max cool is then look at the lever arm and set it at max cool or full close. look at where the flat edge is on the motor and lever arm. Get a super small screw driver and loosen the nut holding the motors shaft in place and align it up to insert into the blend door arm then tighten the nut to hold the motor shaft. Then attach the two and bolt it in. You may have gotten a driverside blend door arm and putting it on the passenger side will offset the connection between the two.
