Well, the car that had some issues at altitude in Denver is back in Denver and is having the same issue. Same engine, same throttle body same car, is now going into limp mode from time to time and throwing an o2 sensor code (the same as back in 2008).
The car as 208k on it now and is / was running fine before Denver.
I discussed this back in 2008 on this board (search limp mode altitude).
After Denver it took a bit to get the car back to not throwing o2 sensor codes. It would like 1 or 2 a year. Replaced both of them, would still throw. Finally the last couple of years after resetting the sensors all was good.
So, what are the reasons for something like this to start happening again at Altitude? Somehow are the 02 sensors going bad at altitude? What are the reasons for the TB going limp mode (I don't think there is an issue with the TB).
Anyway, any help would be appreciated.
