An old friend that spent years as a high speed driving instructor for PCA drove his winter cars on Hakka's and LOVED them. He said they were the best snow tire he'd ever experienced.

My daughter has a set of the Michelin X-ice's on her Miata and has had good luck with them. They're long wearing for a snow tire, aren't too noisy but still have ample grip. I liked them enough to put a set on my BMW. I can attest that they're not noisy and have good road feel although they do break loose much faster in the dry than the Michelin Pilots I use for summer tires. I'm a skier, so snow tires are a must.
