I'd be glad to hear about exhaust choices myself. But back to the subframe bushings, what assembly of tools do you have available?
I was able to use at least part of the Rose bushing tool designed for the rear trailing arm bushing/ball joints - as I recall, I used 7/16" grade 8 fine pitch long bolts from McMaster Carr to apply the force. I have also purchased similar threaded rod from them. Use either grade 8 or the metric 10.9 grade rod / bolts for enough strength. A setup that pulls through the center helps center things, but you may still have trouble keeping the bushing "square" as it goes in - so go slow and keep correcting it. You may be able to buy appropriate 1/2 inch drive sockets to do this - the 1/2 inch square drive will clear a 12mm bolt or rod. Use multiple washers w. Moly grease in between to reduce friction as you twist. Stack the washers to make spacers and finish driving bushings home.
Hope this helps a little.
