The nice thing about these cars vs c900 is having bolt on fenders!! That collision would have meant a major welding project or the crusher for a c900. Being able to source parts from a junk yard is invaluable when it comes to keeping these on the road. I still have a nice c900, but I drive it gently nowadays!
WRT blow-by... at what point is it a problem? I have a 2005 that has smoke/vapour coming out the oil dip stick tube and there seem to be oil deposits on the cap etc. When I put a latex glove on it, it slowly inflates, but not really all the fingers... Not really sure if it is better to leave it be, or dig in there at some point proactively. When does it cross the line? I can easily monitor it. No oil leaks I can see, and only about 150k on the clock. I bought it inexpensively 6 months, 5k miles ago, but put some $$ and work into making other aspects of the car right, so would like to get some use out of it obviously to make the effort worthwhile.
