Unfortunately, our cars were made in an incandescent age, and the circuitry in TWICE thinks your taillights or brake lights are burned out as the current they use is now substantially lower than it thinks it should be.
You can install the resistors so the circuits draw the current needed, or, as I do, simply dismiss the SID warnings before driving off.
The momentary annoyance of having to clear the two errors is a minor thing compared to the major improvement in lighting.
I installed Sylvania Zevo LEDs for taillights, brake lights, license plate and city lights on my 2002 Aero Kombi. I used the RED LEDs, as their lumen output is the same as the white LEDs, but all the lumens are in the red part of the spectrum. My tail lights are as bright as the brake lights on my 2000 SE sedan with incandescent bulbs.
I tried turn signal bulbs, but while the SID message wasn't so bad, the rapid blinking was...
