Honestly after replacing a handful of radiotors all with the blown out plastic fitting at the top, I consider them a maintenace item now. I'm really shocked to hear that your new Nissens radiator lasted less than 50k mi. Each of my OEM radiators have lasted between 160 and 180k mi (and Ireplaced each of them with a Nissens ... so ... )

Im interested in these "all aluminum" radiators that saabsince93b has come across. I might try them nexttime.

I am sorry though, that you are coming to the end of the line with your car, we all have to make that call eventually. Rust is a tough one, and once it takes hold its hard to manage it and justify keeping the car.
