Think I may have found it. Drove around with a long time indie friend of mine and he professed it to sound like plastic on metal. Air filter housing. The rubber mounting feet have given way and separated. That's the exact location of the sound on sharp bumps. There are two feet: 46 71 863 and they have threaded posts in metal plates that are then bonded to a rubber mount. The bond between the plate and rubber is gone and the housing is free to just rattle around. The only thing holding it in place is the air hose above the housing that goes to the MAF.

Once that's locked down, if there are any residual noises I'll do some more hunting.

I can check my newly installed parts but I'm pretty confident they're OK.
