I have a '95 9000 v6, with 210hp, it's a very reliable car, with 185000km. The 2.5 v6 has some problems with the timming belt, saab did a recall for it, and wasn't a reliable car, for this reason, the 2.5 v6, wasn't in the market more than a year, but the v6 3.0 of the 9000 it's another history, it's a very relaible car, doesn't have the "punch" of the 2.3T with 200hp, also the 9000 i drive i'ts auto, but if you need power, between 2000-3000rpm begin to have some force, thanks to the VIM(variable intake... but the best fo the engine is up 4000rpm and in D it's able to arrive at 6500rpm and demostrate a incredible force.

The V6 of the 9-5 it's based of this engine, but there are many changes, for example, the valves, cylinder head.... and the majority of the engine components are made with a better steel, to reduce the wheight and the internal fricction. But the best... is that now is turbo XDDD. With 200hp and auto gearbox it's faster than other V6 with more than 200hp and auto trans, and also some with manual trans. For ex. a A4 quattro 3.0 needs 9s 0-100km/h and his weight is more than 1500kg, the saab V6 with 1680kg, needs 8,5s 0-100 in D, in the sport mode only 7,8s

bye
