The first one was a 1999 and soldering was painful. The second one was a 2006 and the removable connectors made life much simpler. I would have to check the Torx size, but yes very small. I think the 2006 car took me an hour IIRC, and I did a few other things that Saturday morning while the car was "home" for me to work on it. Knowing there is a Torx screw and where it is located, plus where the shift lever should be plus no soldering - those tips speed it up a LOT.
