I had originally thought about using a tow dolly, but I wanted to keep the weight down to the minimum.
The reason I am tempted to try to make this work is, the corridor from New Orleans coming up Northeast, really slices nicely through relatively lightly populated areas. The Mountain stuff is just the last 12 miles. My major concern (provided you get through Birmingham before 4:45 PM) is, what to do about Chattanooga and the area around it.
I'm the driver with a pack of cars 1/4 mile in front of him and another 1/4 mile behind him. I don't know how to "teach" others to do it - I'm just glad this "ability" came to me. I can see why guys on a board wouldn't make blanket recommendations as regards towing. As you don't always encounter ideal conditions or ideal drivers.
I'll read up on the product you're using. Sounds cool. Thanks!
