Once you're that fully committed, seems logical to finish the rest of the job, then drive the car to them and let them check alignment and install shims if needed (and really to double check all your work).
Unless I suppose your car is Northern and the parts are all rusted together and impact tools are called for. Not a problem down my way.
I think I'll buy a set of those adjustable arms E-euro has and incorporate those next time - instead of shims.
