Real Stupid Question re: converting transmissions Posted by Gregg [Email] (#677) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Gregg) on Wed, 16 Oct 2019 13:58:49 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
So, my beloved 2004 9-5 5-spd ARC wagon (243K miles) was rear ended yesterday. I've only ever had manual vehicles and only want manual vehicles, but they are a rare breed. Assuming my current car is used as a parts car. How hard would it be to swap over the manual transmission from this car to a new 9-5. (I'm looking at 2003-2009 cars.).
The bitch of it is Saturday, I installed D088 intercooler hoses and intake pipe in this beast only to see it potentially lost three days later.
I've done a bunch of work to brakes, cooling, AC, suspension systems and would like to bring all that over also if possible. I have WIS and am not afraid of the work.
Thank for any insights.
Gregg
