Hey Scott, I'm in Medford OR and know DEQ can be persnickity. I have the annoying "Temp indicator drops to 0.." intermittently and always comes back on after shutting down and restarting. On my last trip for inspection of my '02 ARC Wagon it came on while in line for check. I told the tech I could clear it right there (haad my $15 China Frieght quick-look OBD2) but he said I had to do a fix and drive it for 3 days before re-check. I didn't waste time questioning THAT, just reset it and went back the next day keeping my fingers crossed it wouldn't happen again before the test and it was all good.I'm still tracking it sown, my TechII shows normal coolant temp despite the CEL and "0" on the temp gauge. Sens change--check, thermostat change---check, wire jigling to sens---check, J17 crimp inspection--couldn't find it...well you understand. Anyway glad you passed and FIW, I'm happy to loan my TechII to those nearby. Best of Luck!
