Washer fluid level sensor/SID fix? Posted by thewheell22 [Email] (#2450) [Profile/Gallery] (more from thewheell22) on Thu, 13 Feb 2020 09:47:23 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Hi all, I have an '02 ARC wagon with a '99-01(?) donor SID. Everything else works fine but I've had the annoying "...Washer Fluid Level Low.." display issue on my SID for some time and have searched the many threads and couldn't find a definitive fix conclusion. Some threads end with "...incompatible SID" and others "...you need TechII to reprogram SID" but no link to HOW-TO reprogram SID. Another thread ended with "...SAAB changed the polarity on the sensor in...". Most of the time I can quell my obsessiveness to "fix that" every time I start the engine but sometimes it's like a sock-fold in my shoe!:) So I'm putting this out here one last time for you all, 2 questions: (1)Can a donor SID be reprogrammed to read my good sensor and a link to How-To? and (2) Is it a polarity issue and can cutting and reverse spicing be a fix? Inquiring minds want to know:) Thanx all.
