9-5 wagon 1125, 1035: are they related

I had the check engine light come on a few days ago, and have had the codes read. I have P1125, and P1035. Apparently the 1125 code is saying that the coolant temperature is insufficient for closed loop operation. It seems like the engine does not get up to temperature very quickly, I have recently replaced the thermostat, the old one failed open. The 1035 code refers to an issue with the upstream oxygen sensor. The oxygen sensor that is in the vehicle now was replaced by the previous owner, but does not appear to be and OEM one. Is it possible that these codes are related? Also, what are the chances of having a failed thermostat again so soon? What brand should I look for this time if I need a new thermostat or oxygen sensor?
