A few weeks ago I inadvertently discovered my fuel door was no longer locking. After the sticker shock of replacing the entire assembly, I disassembled the case for inspection. I searched around for a comparable motor and found one on ebay, from China, for around $15 including shipping. I just installed it tonight and can verify that it fits and functions as it should. Shipping was just over 2 full weeks to the east coast.
If you search ebay for 352822989620 then click on the opel car door lock motor, select "motor" from the drop down menu labeled "color name".
During reassembly place the motor in the case and hold it with your thumb, leaving the cover off and the locking arm out of the case. Press lock or unluck and then install the locking arm into the case either extended or compressed depending on which button you pushed. If you don't have it correct you could possibly strip the teeth right off the plastic shaft the first time you press the button. Once you've installed the locking arm, put the cover back on and test it. All of this testing can be done inside the trunk before installing the case onto the mounting bracket if you pull the wire harness into the trunk from the fender.
