PS fluid leak from coolant (delivery) pipe behind bumper in front Posted by saabniner [Email] (#617) [Profile/Gallery] (more from saabniner) on Thu, 25 Jun 2020 13:56:40 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
of intercooler/radiator assembly. I've located the leak in one of the bends of the pipe, the whole section (it is a 4-pass cooling pipe) is badly corroded due to the ever present salt air here on the coast of Florida (similar to our friends who live in the snow belt having to deal with road salt). When looking for a replacement pipe I've run into a problem trying to find one that matches mine (2008 SC 2.3 AT), that is, what I'm finding as the exact replacement the units depicted on at least three websites are 2-pass coolant pipes, not at all like mine. One depicts what appears an exact replacement for mine (4-pass) but they are indicated for 2001-2005 or another for only MY 2006. What gives? Is it because after the 9-5 OG units were out of production that Saab has substituted the earlier part for the 2001-2006 to now include later OG cars? I'm hesitant to order a 2-pass pipe and then find it would require some modification or bending to make it work. Anyone have any insight on a proper course of action? Thanks
