You don’t say how many miles on the clock. Why not just replace the springs and shocks with Geniune Saab? That way you get your new car ride back and can stop wearing tires. If you frequently carry a lot of weight in the back, I believe the Nivomat self-leveling shocks/springs are still available from Orio. They are very long-lived and will eliminate your tire wear problems. I like the Nokian Aline A/S tires but I don’t drive them in the winter so I can’t vouch for snow/ice performance, but the price is reasonable compared to Michelins. I find the Michelins to hydroplane more than the Nokians.
