You would not need shims if the ride height is right.
Sagged springs means more camber and more toe-in. Toe is a big problem for tire cupping.
You fixed HALF the problem with shims!!
What about the other half? TOE-IN.
IMHO shims are a wasted of time because they are so much work and maybe solve half the problem.
What is your ride height?
