Trunk Latch release 2004 Aero Sedan Posted by bstan9k [Email] (#215) [Profile/Gallery] (more from bstan9k) on Tue, 13 Oct 2020 16:11:40 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
So I know about the wiring harness (which I need to repair) and the manual trunk release grab handle.
Problem is my grab handle pulled out in my hand, with the trunk closed. I have the back seats in their down position so i can access the trunk area from the back seat.
I have the the flexible panel removed from the trunk lid inside, all the wiring is visible, but haven't figured out how to release the trunk locking mechanism that i can see now.
So the vertical rod to the lock mechanism is also disconnected and even when I connect it to the plastic arm of the lock it goes in and move it up and down I can't get the latch to release
Wondering if a flat blade screwdriver will move anything I can see to release the trunk latch.
A little hard to reach area, any guidance would be appreciated.
