No need for any force.
Just take the plastic cap off, spring off, washer off, stick the key in and turn clockwise (if you look from the key side)until it hits the stop.
You will see that the pin matches up with a little lowered section of the rim.
Now just gently push the pin inwards and you can turn the lock further beyond the stop and gets to the big opening in the side of the lock where you can remove the pin.
After pulling out the pin: you can pull the center of the lock out with the key.
Lots of plates and springs but nothing happens as long as you leave the key in.
I actually grind down the little plates with the key in the center part because it is the material that extends above the surface that you want to get rid off (I might get some flaming responses for this :-) ).
Probably not proper lock smith practice but it works.
