As part of winterizing my car, I decided to replace the battery. After replacing it displayed the "Radio Code' on the display.
I searching the forum, I found this:
A couple of questions:
Is the Tech2 the only way to marry the radio? (can't I do some magic incantation on the display and enter some code???)
Given the car is 16 yo, I assume the EEPROM is at the end of its useful life? I have no problem replacing it but is the only way to reprogram it via the Tech2? Any external programmers available? or schematic for one that I can build?
This is a real pain...need to disassemble the dash to get radio out then disassemble the radio on the bench...Of course this happens to me when it is 30 degrees out...
Thanks for any advice.
