My OEM rear shocks were replaced at 44K by an indy shop (that has since been sold) for $379. Were supposed to be Bilsteins. I have to check invoices tomorrow. The dealer wanted $670 for job and probably would have used stock shocks. The ride seemed much stiffer after new rear shocks were in, but not sure my subjective memory of the ride feel is any good. SID went out and replaced under warranty at 39K. There were CEL gremlins they had to find and a bad joint in the wiring harness was repaired under warranty.
Original DICs (V6) died at 74839 and cost a whopping $650. 9-5s had a recall, but they claimed it was not for this model. ABS module was repaired by BBA Reman at 89K miles. I did the re. pair and cost was $72 through ebay bid. Brakes done by local shop at 82,589 with Akebono pads that at current 124,500 miles are still good. Rotors like new except for rust at edges and no rotor ridge. Not as 'grabby' as semi-metallic, but does not eat rotors and little to no dust. I have to get under it to look at the E brake cables. Might replace them. In winter I don't park with the e-brake. It froze on me once. e-brake pads are original and never changed. Might be time to inspect them.
I put entire service history into a database so it can be printed out if needed. Thus I can track maintenance costs over the 20 year I've owned it.
