Glad to hear it seems to have subsided. Perhaps you lost more coolant during disassembly than you thought and it took a day to get out the drains. You probably will see more orange tinge when the AC is running on humid days and more fluid volume is passing through.
As far as heat ‘enthusiasm’ - a couple things come to mind. In a few days you will likely have to top up coolant as any trapped air in the core work it’s way out. Once all the air is out of the passages it may improve.
Also run a self-diagnostic in the ACC to check for blend door issues, and ensure that the heater bypass valve is functioning fully (to ensure full coolant flow is getting into the core).
