The screws on the door pull go into a pair of press nuts. If the screws corroded in place and stuck to the press nuts, it's possible that the nuts could spin. I saw a 9-5 at Pick-n-Pull where someone had taken the door panel off, but didn't know about those screws. They ripped the press nuts clean out of the sheet metal. I've never seen one where the screws spin, though, and the screws aren't all that tight from the factory. They should be able to be easily removed with a T30 screwdriver.
