A 2008 with 130,000 miles should still have a lot of life in it if you trust your mechanic that the engine can be repaired properly.I think a used turbocharger would be fine as they seem to last a long time. I have 9-5s and keep them all running because I like the cars. You don’t mention the transmission, but it would also be important in the decision that the transmission be working well b3fore you put that money in the engine. They seem to last a long time in most cases also. I don’t consider a 2008 very old or 130,000 very many miles so I may be biased.
