I've come across a couple of decent ones at Pick-n-Pull on cars that were obviously garaged most of their lives. One was still heavily faded, but a couple of coats of Forever Black made it look much better. After you've taken off the wiper arms (get a puller if you don't have one) It does just pull away, once you've removed the rubber seal at the back of the hood and the two Phillips screw fasteners by the corners. You have to lift up the front edge so it clears a sheet metal lip, pull it forward about 1/2"-1" to release the clips that go underneath the windshield, pull it up and over the hood release cable, and then it will come right off. If your hood weatherstrip is still clipped to the fenders on the edges, don't pull it completely off. You'll break the clips. The weatherstripping can be pulled up and moved forward enough for the cowling to come off. Glass shops have always broken those clips since they rip the weatherstripping off to get the cowling off. The clips are around $3.00 each the last time I checked, and there are four of them.
