The problem is usually that the hose clamps develop a rough spot in the worm thread so when you think you have tightened the clamp enough, you have just jammed it at that rough spot.
I never have a problem with that tube popping off unless the clamp is damaged, either stripped or jammed.
ABA clamps is by far the best clamp for me.
