Yesterday I was driving from Bend to Boise at my usual pace, way too fast. Topped up fuel on my way out.
As I was double passing a pair of semis, I suddenly lost power, lots of dash lights. I pulled over immediately, and shut the car off. The coolant then boiled over, but the fans were running and I only lost about 1l coolant. When I restarted, the car ran fine, temp was high but dropped to normal quickly. I drove off but whenever I got into boost I got real detonation and the car would buck a bit. Over the next hour and a half it slowly seemed to improve, but it would still det at high boost. Driving this am, it seems fine, though I haven't tried peak power. My ultragage says I have a pre-code of P0456. Any thoughts? Car has 180k, I bought the car with a broke piston and rebuilt the engine about 10k miles ago.
