Door Card Handle Washer Reuse?

On the 2000 9-5 SE, there are two washers inside the doors that hold the door handles in place after the screws are removed and the cards are taken off to fix green rollers or regulators. One has teeth and one is flat. When replacing a door handle, can the old washers be removed intact and reused OR does the removal process destroy them so that you need to buy new ones?
