all the numbers you gave are gross figures. You want to think what a dealer can net out of the deal and still able to function as a dealer and not hiring morons to sell and service your car.

Brian can surely correct me, I would surmise a gross of $1,000 to $1,500 per car would be in the ball park. If you think this is too high then maybe you would suggest Saab starting selling cars directly to you and you do your own servicing and warranty work.

Do the simple arithmatic marv, find out the total number of cars Saab can sell in the US and the number of Saab dealers in the US, then you realize the dealers aren't getting rich by selling new cars. They make more money servicing and selling parts. They can get higher margin in selling used cars.
