overfilled trans, how urgent to correct? Posted by TML [Email] (#2212) [Profile/Gallery] (more from TML) on Tue, 2 Nov 2021 09:33:24 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
If you look below a little bit, you'll see how I overfilled my manual trans by at least 200ml, up to maybe 400ml over (depending on whether I go by the owner's manual re-fill spec, or by how much was in there before). Obviously I am going to correct this, but my question is how urgent? I've already driven about 250km, and noticed no symptoms. If it was going to spill out and onto the clutch or something, would it have done so already? That seems like the most serious potential side effect, from what I've read. Can I drive it another 200-350km until the weekend? 80km to get me home today? Immediately in the parking lot?
