I know this is late, but we just had to replace a set, and though I am a longtime Nokian Hakka fan, I went with General Arctic 12 on our 2005 wagon. Lots of tread depth. Kind of old school design-wise, but really great in snow so far. I really don't notice much downside vs hakka r2. Might actually be better in snow because the R series hakkas are much more optimized for rolling resistance than as a pure snow tire like they used to be. The General tire is very open tread so it clears well. We went for the narrower 205/55R16 size (matches 225/45R17 diameter of our summers fairly well).
