Re: Full size tire as a spare? I have always kept a full size spare in my 9-5s (wagons). I have done the same with my 9000 (It was an Aero and I kept a 15" steel wheel with a properly sized tire to match the 16" stock wheels) and my Viggen.
I have a few extra wheels for my 9-5 Aero (17x7 or 17x7.5) that I've obtained over the years and I keep one of them mounted with a full size tire (225/45/17). Sometimes, I have simply kept one of my snow tires (also mounted to 17x7 alloys) in there.
I can still get a spare DI cassette, the jack, some gloves, etc. in the spare tire well.
I'm not sure how different the sedan's trunk floor is (or not), but I like knowing that I have a "real" tire and wheel in there.
