It can be a bit frustrating the first time, if you're not prepared.. but not overly difficult
I think, as others have stated, that the 2 most difficult/frustrating steps involve removing the wiper arms, and then repositioning then after replacing the linkage.
be careful removing the arms for the first time. There are lots of write ups and videos out there to help guide you, and most care are similar this respect. Basically you need to apply even pressure all around when trying to pull them off. There are wiper pulling tools, gear pullers, etc. that can be used.. or you can improvise..
The recalibration isn't necessary if you mark the position of the wiper arm position with respect the linkage and cam to which the arms mount. Just make sure the wipers are in the off/parked position prior to removal, and mark them using a pencil, tape, etc. Otherwise you'll need to recalibrate.. which isn't all that bad, just a bit frustrating.. so find a write up .. and have that handy .. just in case.
good luck
Mike
