Hello,
I usually use transmission assembly lube which is basically a thicker vaseline. But in the past I have used grease, vaseline, and even just plain old oil. I like the transmission assembly lube because it doesn't melt in the summer like vaseline and is basically designed to lube square cut seals, lipped seals and o-rings found in an automatic transmission where you don't want to damage one installing it because you won't really know until its all together and back in the car. No fun todo a second time. Good Luck, Berni
