on 2008 wagon, new professional "Sweden" fuel pump assm pump failed less than a year. not fond of procedure in WIS, so I will razor cut the fuel line just inboard of the end or last Ferrel barb flair, right up next to the middle ferrel barb on the pump exit plastic elbo. These late model lines are semi soft plastic and gentle wiggle side to side easily departed the 3 fuel lines at the pump top. these lines too have much slack in and towards the new pump lines that I will be removing likely w/o cutting not to leave a nitch in the new pump assm Ferrel barbs that could cause a leak when old lines are reattached. refitting lines will have paint heat gun at a great distance to warm and make very pliable the old fuel lines. readily purchasable round ended fuel hose needle nose pliers will grab 3/8 in rubber fuel hose, 1 inch long and 5/8 inch from the end of the fuel line, split in down the middle and slightly super glued and the splint rubber 2 section gripper install hose will be tie strapped on clean dry plastic fuel lines. lube will be 1/2" inside the original fuel lines for assembly and on the pump elbo I will put fuel tank patching epoxy just between the last (inboard) ferrell barb and the second barb. I did tin snip the metal rearward of the fuel pump below for full access. like the first gen 9.3 Tin snip metal for access is non structural altering and sensible to just ...replace the fuel pump assenbly. follow up forth comming next week. Don
