I had an intermittent no-crank problem and it ended up being the Neutral Safety Switch. You have to remove the battery and battery tray to get to it. You can also try shorting two pins together in its connector with a paper clip. Search on the NSS or spell it out, someone wrote up which pins to short. I had mine shorted out for years, but the switch finally gave out and I replaced it. Its been over 6 months since I had a no-crank issue.
