Boris, did you do anything to protect the hood on your other cars? I had a deflector and a protection strip on my '01 Aero, but it really did nothing to help. I did put a lot of highway miles on so I attribute it to that sort of "abuse".
You are in Western NC right? Do they salt the roads there? Here in eastern NC they dont at all, but in Raleigh they brine the roads (the past 5 or 10 years now).
the exterior clearcoat failure is heartbreaking. Even my daughter's '11 Aero is starting to show signs. Paint is the one thing I cant fix so it kills me. I dont have the equipment, or the skill, to paint a car
A saab friend suggested Macco and I'm considering it for my '08 wagon. The car is just beautiful (until you get closer than 6 ft or so!) maybe a Macco job would reduce that to 2 or 3 ft?
yea, wheel bolts: jeez Saab, come on! I guess the same guy that did the wheel bolts also worked on the emblems :-)
