The only line I've had blow is the front one right off the pump - it is flexible just beyond the fitting but then has a hard line that attaches to the front loop (which is one big hard line) and since it is right off the pump under highest pressure, age is beginning to burst these at full lock... / The whole job is quite easy removing the nose, and if necessary to see better, the headlight. Then it's a simple matter to remove the line right on top coming through. As such the only job to do at the same time is to trim the hose that connects the pump to the tank (Feed - tends to leak with age) by trimming sections having been clamped for decade(s) -
NOW having said that if you are in the low percentage rear hose jobs, then a lift works best and the subframe is right there and can be done.
I would ask where the leak is...
