I've had a few... (See below).
Generally, I'd say stick with the 2.3 (I like the B235R Aero engine) and the 2002-2005 (though the newer ones have the same drive train, I like the interiors of the mid-cycle ones).
I much prefer the Aero seats to the "flat" seats that came on other cars. I have not found an issue with parts availability.
Unfortunately, I'm seriously considering selling my current wagon as I'm looking to go to an AWD wagon in the near future. I looked for years to find a nice manual wagon and have enjoyed it a lot.
(Yes, I do put real, dedicated snow tires on my Saab, and yes, it does amazing, but real, dedicated snow tires with AWD has proven better in our very wet and slippery snow on rather steep terrain. Not to mention the ease of passing through chain control check points with AWD...)
