Hi, Saab experts,
I need help with my Saab 9-5 2004.
Some strange things I noticed approximately one year ago. I forgot to close the fuel tank after refueling and was driving for several hours without fuel cap. I was expecting something like P0455 Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected (gross leak). But there was nothing.
I tried to simulate different malfunctions: ignition problems, vacuum leak etcetera, etcetera.
There's always the same result - no codes.
What type of problem is that? Communication network??
The second part of the story is MAF.
My Saab doesn't care if it has MAF, or if it doesn't. Works, let's say, normally with MAF sensor connected or disconnected (no fault codes either). I think that one day MAF sensor started to give wrong data to ECM and Control Module selected something like MAP and IAT sensor to be its new sources of information. I've bought a new MAF sensor, tried to install it, but ECU doesn't pay attention to the new sensor.
How to make Trionic to return to MAF sensor's data?
I use Tech2 and Topdon Phoenix Plus.
Thank you for your answers in advance.
