When I had the lights out on my 07 to put a ballast and new bulbs in... I did get the wire to install the lights in the inner hole. I did not wire them in but I tested and visualized how to do it.
It seems to me all the wiring would be inside the headlight housing and very fiddly>.. The trigger for the shudder for the xennon high beam would be the trigger for the extra driving light. this trigger seemed to have a thin wire.. so I would have that wire trigger a 12v relay for the high beam. so.. A relay / installed inside each headlight housing.. triggered by the respective shudder trigger inside the housing.
This would have taken me I am guessing about 3 hours to do.. time which I did not have / the bumper pull / headlight pull / replace I have done a few times now and is a 30 min job. Maybe when I am retired I will wire in the high beams. If any one has a better way ..let me know!.
I did find after market new ballasts for under 50 bucks.. work great .. however I think to get them to auto level again requires techII programming?
