Very rough idle after replacing fuel injectors Posted by mb [Email] (#2713) [Profile/Gallery] (more from mb) on Sat, 16 Mar 2024 16:43:17 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
After replacing the fuel injectors with refurbished ones from Rock Auto, my car is idling very rough. I forgot to prime the fuel pump when I initially tried to start, which was not a success. I then cycled the key several times - same thing; trembling but not turning over. Then I cycled the key around 10 times and the car started, but idled very very rough. The engine smelled a bit like burnt matches afterwards.
Is this a fuel pressure issue or something else? I'm confident that the install was correct and there are no leaks.
Thoughts on what might be the issue?
Mike
