This may not be helpful from a DIY point of view, but since you are asking us to speculate based on an incomplete history, I’ll throw this out there.
You say you took it to an A/C professional. You say he noted the very high pressure (likely a result of the top-up versus Evac and recharge, IMO). Did the AC guy do a proper Evac and recharge by weight, then start trying to “manually start” the compressor?
Are you sure that the compressor is shot? Are you sure the oil is AC oil versus PS oil from the pump failure?
If you want to solve this, I really think you need to start by understanding what the AC guy did, and if it’s sensible, ask him what his next steps would be. Better yet, find a Saab guy. You may pay a little more, but you will eliminate extraneous guesswork, part purchases and time with the system down.
