So, got around to this today. Put the front end up on jack stands to facilitate getting underneath, but ultimately didn't need to.
The old one was in enough pieces and brittle that I was able to snap away the old one from the front. I unplugged the temp sensor, transferred it to the new one. The new grill snapped back into place pretty easily, just needing to make sure that the all the contact points ‘clicked’ securely.
Also fount that the front skid plate was missing a couple screws; fixed that easily, and managed to eliminate a vibration noise in the process.
