I bought my Tech2 clone from a Chinese vendor in 2019 and it's worked fine. (That vendor has since gone offline but there are others out there.) The knock-offs are probably all coming out of the same factory regardless of the seller.

When I bought it a selection of software for different supported vehicles was offered to ship with the unit. For the 9-5 I believe it would be Saab version 148.000 software. (Since I needed it for Saab 9000 I had to flash a spare card with an older version.) It also came with a large assortment of cables and connectors.
